Sirius XM Posts Profit, Its First Since Merger (New York Times)

Sirius XM Radio , the satellite radio company, posted its first quarterly profit since its merger and said it expected to add 500,000 new subscribers in 2010 as the recovery in the car market increased demand.

Honda launches world’s first sporty hybrid car (The Japan Times)

Honda Motor Co. on Thursday rolled out the CR-Z, the world’s first hybrid sports car. The car, which will hit domestic showrooms Friday ahead of its global launch, comes with an electric motor equivalent to 1.5 liters and a 2.0-liter gasoline engine for acceleration. Its fuel efficiency is rated at 25 km per liter, compared with about 12 for similar gas-powered Honda models.

Mercedes-Benz confirms the launch of its first diesel-electric hybrid later this year (Auto Spies)

Mercedes-Benz’ E300 BlueTec hybrid, the carmaker’s first ever diesel-electric hybrid car, will soon be launched. Mercedes-Benz confirmed that the hybrid will arrive at European showrooms early in 2011.
